In our collage artwork, we explore
the use of multiple media to
create unique artwork that
captures a sense of scenery.
When we first started collage
work, we designed very simplistic
botanical art. As we expanded
our style, we found by intertwining
botanicals with other media
captured the essence of them in a
more colorful way.
We begin each original collage
piece by painting acrylic
backgrounds and using textured
papers. Our signature items –
pressed pears and botanicals
that we gather – are the focal
points on which fibers, metals,
beads, stained glass and other
found objects are layered in a
whimsical and sometimes soulful
way. Together, it draws a viewer
into the piece to discover a
wonderful sense of delight.
